I've seen some with clover leafs and some with Gotoh style in black. I’m a guitar player but I play Fenders, and saw this one in a pawn shop for $400, with a hard shell case, so I had to get it. I’m not a good bass player but I love the sound of it and the super nice thin 7.5” radius neck. Fretless. I love the versatility of this bass and it has been a favorite. I need to replace the pots for both the volume and tone. As I look at them, I canʻt tell whether they are 250K or 500k. After that time I borrowed it to a good friend for some playing at home. In the meantime I played a Thunderbird, a Jazzbass, an Ibanez fretless. Now in 2022 my baby came back home to me and I realised that this bass is an extraordinary cool thing. Love it and forgot about the other basses. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10228523619340384.post-11455397802296565092023-05-04T03:28:47.480-07:002023-05-04T03:28:47.480-07:00E683814 any info?E683814 any info?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10228523619340384.post-77559627275944582102023-01-06T04:03:09.766-08:002023-01-06T04:03:09.766-08:00I have to correct my serial number, it begins with...I have to correct my serial number, it begins with E53 and not E85.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10228523619340384.post-43682096944459627782023-01-06T03:34:58.593-08:002023-01-06T03:34:58.593-08:00I bought a stock and not much played Pewter Jazz B...I bought a stock and not much played Pewter Jazz Bass Special with the completely black Neck and E85 serial number 6 or 7 years ago for under 500€ in Germany. Strangely the string tree was completely missing, there wasn't even a hole for it. I installed a original string tree and had to replace the Switch. After some time I installed a D-tuner and a Gotoh 201 bridge, of course I have still the original parts. It has still the protective paper on the cover on the back.
